The 17th Indian Premier League IPL 2024 begins tomorrow, marking the beginning of cricket’s grandest event.
It starts on March 22 at 7:30 PM IST at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai, with a thrilling match between the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (CSK vs. RCB).
Both Virat Kohli, who took a leave of absence ahead of India’s recently finished international committment against England in a five-match Test series, and MS Dhoni, possibly for his final time in yellow will be back in the opening match.
While RCB want to end their title drought and CSK hopes to begin their title defence with a victory, their women’s team’s recent WPL 2024 victory will provide them with extra motivation.

The general elections fall during the second part of the 2024 IPL; hence, the BCCI has released the schedule till April 7, or the first 21 matches. The schedule for the remaining games of the league will shortly be announced, as the BCCI is currently working on it.
Every side will play a minimum of three and a maximum of five matches in the first phase.
